When someone links to a page here from their own site, their post arrives as a webmention — the standards-track descendant of the trackback. Verified automatically (the source really does link here), then approved by hand before it appears. The IndieWeb wiki keeps the working notes: who sends, who receives, and what breaks between them.

Endpoint: /webmention · POST source and target. Mentions are moderated; nothing appears here automatically. Sending a mention again after the link is removed retracts it.
The request for the mail failed, so the inbox stays empty rather than guessed. /inbox/mail.html has it as plain HTML.
